For V.92 and V.44, the capabilities exchange is only supported in 12.2(2)XB6 and higher releases. If you are using Cisco IOS Release 12.2(2)XA, 12.2(2)XB5, or earlier releases, you must modify S54 in a modemcap to enable V.92 and V.44 operation as described in the capabilities exchange enhancements documented in the Release Notes for Cisco MICA Portware Version 2.9.2.0 on Cisco AS5300 and Cisco AS5800 Universal Access Servers.
The Cisco 3600 and Cisco 3700 support V.92 and V.44 in Cisco IOS Release 12.2(11)YT and 12.2(15)T. Cisco AS5x00 platforms support V.92 and V.44 in 12.2(11)T.
See the following CDU replacement information: The Cisco DialOut Utility (CDU) is no longer supported. Refer to the Cisco DialOut Utility End of Sale/Shipping bulletin and the Sample NAS Configurations for Cisco DialOut Utility document for information.
Cisco MICA Portware Version 8.2.x.x is a special release for PIAFS support only. PIAFS is an error-correcting link layer protocol used in Japan over PHS digital server networks. PIAFS is supported on Cisco AS5300 universal access servers. Cisco MICA Portware Version 8.2.x.x only supports PIAFS and does not support other modem modulations or standards. Contact your account representative for information about obtaining Cisco MICA portware for PIAFS. |
