1.1 Introduction

The PCSCSI Software Driver Installation Guide presents a description of the PCSCSI software drivers and utilities and the procedures for installing and using them.


  * Section 1 - Contains general information.
 
  * Section 2 - Contains an overview of the drivers and utilities,
    their names, features, dependencies, and how to check the revision numbers.
	
  * Section 3 - Presents procedures for using the AMINSTAL Utility 
    (automatic installation for DOS and Windows only) and procedures
	for manual installation (for all supported operating systems).

  * Section 4 - Provides driver switch definitions.

  * Appendix A - Contains a description of the error messages.

Packaged in the PCSCSI and PCnet-SCSI Evaluation kits and Licensable Technology kits for AMD's Family of PCI-SCSI controllers are three software driver diskettes. The contents of these diskettes are as follows:


  * Disk 1 - Installation Program and other utilities, BIOS, DOS,
    Windows 3.1x, Windows for Workgroups 3.1x, Windows NT, and Debugger
	Drivers

  * Disk 2 - OS/2 and NetWare Drivers

  * Disk 3 - SCO UNIX BTLD Drivers

  * Disk 4 - SCO UNIX Custom Format Object Code
