What are Cubix Plug-in Computers
and How to Identify the Different Models

The ERS/FT System has the capability to hold up to eight individual computers. Each computer consists of a BC Series single board computer that plug into the backplane of the ERS/FT System. The backplane is divided into "groups". Each Group is electronically independent, and can be powered on or off, or reset from controls on the systems front panel.

Each plug-in computer contains all the functions you would normally find in a standard desktop computer, such as video, IDE and SCSI, and floppy drive support, Ethernet 10/100 Base-t, and serial and parallel ports.

Terminolgy - The BC Series boards are ofen referred to as: single board computers, processor boards, bus controllers, motherboards, and plug-in computers.
