Operation
Note: The following procedure assumes you have at least one operational WorldDesk Comlink or Commuter server installed on your network. Refer to the applicable Quick Start Guide for server-specific installation and information.
By default, new WorldDesk Servers are created with the user name "administrator" and no password. If you do not know your user name and password, ask your system administrator. If management access is not restricted, use any user name for this step.
WorldDesk Manager automatically locates and displays WorldDesk Servers using the IPX/SPX protocol. Clusters and Servers using TCP/IP protocol must be manually added by selecting System:Add TCP/IP Cluster from the Manager menu bar. After assigning a cluster name, restart the Manager to display the cluster and any associated servers.
The toolbar provides a shortcut for many tasks. Online help may be accessed by pressing F1 from any menu or by clicking on the Help icon in the WorldDesk Manager toolbar.
