Backplane Configuration
Backplanes
The key to flexibility in Cubix Systems is the backplane. It is installed in the bottom of the system, and determines how many DP or SP Series plug-in computers can be installed.
There are three different backplanes available for the density System.
4X DP Backplane
Configured with 4 groups.
Supports up to 4 independent DP Series (dual-SMP) plug-in computers.
Each group contains:
8X SP Backplane
Configured with 8 groups. Supports up to 8 independent SP Series plug-in computers.
Each group contains:
2X DP + 4X SP Backplane
Configured with 6 groups. Supports any combination of up to 4 independent SP Series and 2 DP Series (dual-SMP) plug-in computers.
