Series 1500 Chassis
The Cubix
Density Series 1500 chassis is what
differentiates a Cubix server platform from the
competition. The unique packaging of blade
servers, integrated K/V/M, shared peripherals and
n+1 power system, into a compact 7U rackmount
chassis saves space, cost, and power.Designed to save space
while providing fault-tolerant features, the
19" rackmounted Density Series chassis is
also easy to service. The modular and cable-free
design reduces the time it takes to remove and
replace subsystems. The blade servers and power
supplies are hot-swappable within the chassis.
Hard drives are mounted on trays that are easily
removed from the front of the chassis. All of the
major subsystems can be easily replaced in
minutes – in the field, in the rack –
without having to power down the entire chassis.
Each Density
chassis will host either:
- 8 single-processor server blades (chassis
option D501).
- 6
dual-processor server blades, each with
one 64-bit PCI expansion slot (chassis
option D502).
- 4
dual-processor server blades, each with
three (one half length and two full
length) 64-bit PCI expansion slots
(chassis option D503).
