In the local supermarket card-club, a recent receipt showed that I could get $10 off a bottle of wine on my next visit, and reading the fine print it shows that this coupon is not good for alcohol. Easy to be generous when you never have to give it up, I suppose.
Seriously, you might want to take it up with the store manager next time you go shopping. That is usually the standard garbage they print in their ads and on their receipts. You may actually be able to redeem that towards a bottle of wine.

"Of course you can use this for alcohol". Decided not to press it, especially since I have a warm spot in my heart for her: she was the first person to ask for ID after I turned 40 last summer :-)
